Martinborough Vineyard Ltd
Welcome
The story, so far, has been one of success in a relatively short period of time for the wine industry. There have been some blind alleys and some earlier plantings of less suitable varieties have now been replaced.
The Martinborough appellation has been proven and looking into the future the challenge will be to continue to produce world class wines of the finest quality. The emphasis will remain on Pinot noir, however, other varieties will receive their share of loving care and attention.
Perhaps the future can best be summed up when Duncan Milne recently said; "the vines will be out there producing great fruit long after we are gone, our job is one of stewardship. To ensure that every vintage results in the very best wine possible. To learn and apply and pass that knowledge down to the next generation of enthusiasts".
