Our philosophy today is very simple; we are located in what we believe to be one of the most beautiful places in the world and celebrate daily our idyllic environment and local culture. In recognition of this we use locally grown produce first and foremost and complement this with the best our country has to offer infused with the exotic flavours of the Pacific Rim.

Menu tasters

. Bay House breakfast of bacon, Blackball chorizo, fried eggs, grilled tomato, toasted Bay House bread, home made hash brown and onion jam

. Citrus and smoked fish pate with harakeke seed and date breadstick

. Duo of West Coast whitebait pan fried in lemon butter with whitebait, chive and asparagus omelet roll

. West Coast beef fillet with peppered herb jus, honey and garlic braised carrots, crispy chorizo and shaved parmesan

. Fresh Golden Bay scallops and fried shrimp balls with lemongrass and ginger risotto cakes and a coriander, lime and peanut pesto

. Venison medallions and Blackball black pudding with asparagus in olive oil and goat feta, almond and beetroot couscous


The Bay House Restaurant is open seven days Summer 11am-late / Winter 11am-7.30pm. We hope you take the opportunity to enjoy the Bay House as much as we do and recommend you book ahead to avoid disappointment!
