The lodge is positioned in between the snow capped peaks of the Buchanan mountain range, which give the house its name, and the crystal clear waters of Lake Wanaka. Inside, the property is light and airy with wooden beams and flag stone floors. The open plan living area with large picture windows and floor to ceiling glass doors maximise the magnificent views. A large veranda runs the length of the house allowing guests to sit out doors undercover all year round - shaded from the summer sun or sheltered from the cooler weather, and manicured lawns provide the perfect setting for an after dinner stroll watching the sunset.
The stylish living room at the Lodge boasts comfortable sofas and a rabbit-skin throw - perfect for snuggling up in front of the open fire in the winter months. A large table providing seating for eight is situated in the dining area, which enjoys a stunning double height ceiling, to the rafters, creating a wonderful feeling of light and space.
