We are the only charter boat operator situated in the Tauranga CBD within walking distance of local motels, hotels, backpackers, cafes and bars. Vouchers can be purchased for birthdays, anniverisaries or Christmas. We are situated at Fisherman's Wharf, Dive Crescent, Tauranga or pickup at Mount Salisbury Wharf, Salisbury Ave, Mount Maunganui.
MV DEEPSTAR was built in Picton in 1979 as a fishing and diving charter boat. She caters for live onboard parties of up to 10 passengers plus crew. She holds 5000 litres of fresh water and 2500 litres of fuel. Full size toilet and shower facilities aboard. Up to 20 passengers can be carried on day trips for fishing.
All charters provide their own food (unless specified) and cold drinks. Tea and coffee provided.
A BBQ is on board for your use if you wish (private charters only), plus oven and hobs. For overnight trips you need to supply your own sleeping bags, warm clothing, gumboots or similar (a necessity) pillows are available.
Fishing information:
Public trips: these trips operate daily (share with other people).
