Bayline Coaches started as Tauranga's first motorised passenger service in 1919 and today is the Bay of Plenty region's largest passenger transport operator.
The company has had a succession of name changes over the years - trading as Tauranga Bus Service from 1946, Tauranga Mount Maunganui Bus Company in 1969 and now as the Bayline Group since 1986. With the new name and image came a greater commitment to passenger service.
