Eco friendly homestay B&B on private 13 acre bush reserve. We have been undertaking restoration planting since 1992 which gives us a very small carbon footprint. We use a motor vehicle as little as possible and use eco friendly cleaning products.
We have reduced the numbers of predator mammals resulting in increased bird numbers and a good dawn chorus.
Our 2 guest rooms are very comfortable. We aim to give all of our guests a unique experience in a unique environment. We personally take our guests around our track and boardwalk, we have a 99% success rate of seeing fernbirds. Tuis and Bellbirds are plentiful and come to feed within a metre of the breakfast table.
We are within 10 minutes of Invercargill by car (20 by bicycle). 5 minutes to airport 25 to Bluff port for the Stewart Island Ferry. We are the closest B&B to Teretonga racing track and the Burt Munro rally site.
