Our location is just perfect a desirable location with easy walking to the harbour foreshore and the wonderful Fergusson Park, serene view across the harbour to Matakana Island and Mount Maunganui.
We offer accommodation for up to four people. Homestays will have their own games room, bathroom and toilet, there is a court yard with barbeque and spa pool adjacent to the bedrooms.
Your hosts David and Karen will provide all meals. Good old-fashioned Kiwi food will be on the menu and all eaten together as a family. Your host Dave will organise day activities during your stay. You will have a choice of a wide range of activities, all lasting most of the day from 10 am to 4pm with a picnic lunch taken with us for the day.
There are a choice of eight different activities ranging from walks around or to the summit of Mount Maunganui including a visit to the Mount Hot Salt Water Pools. Shore based fishing trips around the Mount and Moturiki Island, surfcasting at the mouth of the Kaituna River, day trips to fish from the beaches at Waihi Beach, Ohope and Matata. You can also collect shellfish (tuatua) at Papamoa Beach. All fishing gear and bait provided. All fish caught will be brought back home to be smoked or cooked on the barbeque.
Those who are more adventurous can go spot light hunting for possums and rabbits and even go deer hunting for the day.
