The coastal Bay of Plenty's growing art culture took a big step forward with the opening of Tauranga Art Gallery in October 2007.
The Gallery is ideally situated in a high foot traffic area on the corner of Willow and Wharf Streets in the Tauranga CBD and features 700 square metres of exhibition space spread over two levels.
The building's atrium has been designed for openings, powhiri, gatherings and presentations and can be hired out for after hours functions and events.
Tauranga Art Gallery is also designed to host national and internationally sourced exhibitions.
The gallery is open 10am to 4.30pm daily. It is closed Christmas and Boxing Day, New Year's Day, and ANZAC Day until 1pm.
