02 Vintage: A season with a generous amount of precipitation allowed the canopies to grow and reach a size not often seen. With careful management, the resulting grapes were easily ripened by these large canopies allowing for harvest to be smooth and the resulting wine full and balanced.
Vineyard: Situated on the famous Martinborough Terrace, rows are set out North/South facing with a gentle north facing slope giving a perfect viticultural aspect. All grapes are Estate grown on Scott Henry and VSP canopies, with irrigation on free draining alluvial soils.
Winemaking: Controlled temperature fermentation retains fruit, and lees contact for palate weight and off-dry palate allows for early drinking.
Winemakers Comments: Aromatic flavours of citrus, apple and floral, combine with an off-dry palate make this classic riesling wine. Cellar 1-5 years.
