The Trading Post Cafe and Restaurant operates from a turn of the century cottage and offers great food, a wonderful cottage garden and attentive and friendly service.
Trading Post Cafe and Restaurant at Paengaroa is located among kiwifruit orchards and close to major tourist attractions at "the Junction". Customers come from the immediate horticultural and farming community, from the nearby beachfront communities of Pukehina and Maketu and from passing tourist traffic travelling from scenic Tauranga to thermal Rotorua.
The present owners have completely refurbished the house to provide two dining rooms with the ambience that comes from polished wooden floors, open fireplace, quality antique furnishings and impeccable colour taste. Up to 34 diners can be comfortably seated. Another 32 can be seated outside on the lawn at tables with umbrellas or at tables under a roofed area that offers all weather protection.
Trading Post Cafe and Restaurant operates as a cafe during the day and a restaurant at night - perfect for private functions. Planning an event such as a wedding, reunion, corporate or special occasion? Offsite in a marquee or chosen venue- we cater to them all.
