Golfers can retreat to Wedge n Wood Bed and Breakfast after a wonderful 18-hole day on the beautiful Mount Maunganui Golf Course.
After a two minute walk from the club house, you can then relax in either of the two well appointed rooms on offer. With both rooms on the ground floor, access is easy. Each room contains a super king size bed, which can be changed into two singles if required.
The rooms have their own ensuite, TV, fridge and two comfy chairs to relax in. Tea and coffee making facility also included. We offer to guests the use of a sauna on our premises, if they desire.
We are a short walk to Omanu surf beach, a 10-minute drive to Mount Maunganui shops or the Main Beach, a 10-minute drive to Tauranga central shops and a 5-minute drive to Bayfair shopping complex. We're also just 50 minutes' drive to Rotorua and Whakatane.
The Tauranga Airport is 5 minutes away, and we offer to guests courtesy pick up from public transport. Included in the tariff is a sumptuous breakfast.
Mount Maunganui and Tauranga have a variety of restaurants and cafes that will keep your hunger at bay. The area has a wonderful harbour, and Pacific Ocean at its door, for you to enjoy. You can hire a boat, yacht or canoe or go on a charter boat fishing or dolphin spotting.
The beaches are sandy and long, where you can swim, surf or sun bath. At Mount Maunganui, Mauao offers a variety of walks, and wonderful views over the area, and then you can relax in the warm salt water pools at the base.
