The Mount Surf Museum is New Zealand's biggest surf museum featuring 700 surfboards on display.
This dazzling lineup of longboards and shortboards shows the evolution of New Zealand surfing from early wooden board days through the psychedelic 60s and 70s. There are handcrafted masterpieces from Kiwi pioneers like Quane and Bob Davies plus rare collectables including kneeboards and paddleboards.
The centerpiece is a collection of American surfing memorabilia -trophies, photographs, and other items that belonged to 'Da Cat,' Malibu legend Mickey Dora.
This unique, colourful museum is full of surfing items from posters and skateboards to books and more. Our shop stocks new and used surfboards (including old ones) accessories, souvenirs, surf art and collectables.
