Sapphire Springs Motor Camp has a lodge that sleeps 36 people, six tourist flats with 1 or 2 bedrooms, a bungalow that sleeps 12 and many camp sites.
Escape the noise and tension of city life - wake up to the sound of the stream and the birds - enjoy a walk through our beautiful forest and a swim in our warm thermal pools - Sapphire Springs is a great place to relax.
You have the choice of three types of accommodation: rustic, comfortable and clean self-contained Tourist Flats, Bungalow or Backpackers Lodge.
Tourist Flats:
All six units are self-contained with Kitchens, Shower and Toilet, Lounge with comfortable seating and Sky TV. 4 units have 2 bedrooms with 1 double bed and 2 single beds and 2 have 1 double bed with all bedding and linen provided.
Bungalow:
A comfortable fully furnished self-contained house with full-size kitchen, bathroom, 4 double/twin bedrooms and 1 single bedroom - all bedding, linen and towels provided.
Lodge
The Lodge has 4 bedrooms. 2 with 9 beds (bunk) and 2 with 10 bed (bunk). There are 2 more bunks in the lounge. There is a lounge in the centre of the Lodge which has tables, chairs, couches, small fridge and TV. Tenants need to bring own sleeping bags (or top sheet and duvets), towel, pots and pans, crockery, cutlery and torch. Communal Kitchen and Shower and Toilets facilities are nearby.
Thermal Pools:
The Sapphire Springs Pools & Park offers three warm Thermal Pools, semi-enclosed BBQ / Picnic facilities with adjoining playing and volleyball areas, Hot Spa Pools and 78 acres of native forest walks. The Pool complex caters for everyone and has a Toddlers Pool, Mid-Size soak/ swimming Pool, and a large swimming Pool.
Pure warm water is pumped into the pools 24 hours a day out of warm spring just below the surface at 32 Celsius - warm, not hot, but as pure water as you'll find anywhere in New Zealand.
SPA Pools
Relax in our Spa Pools at 40C. There is an extra charge. Bookings needed.
