Historic and stylish dcor, with attention to detail, can be enjoyed throughout 'The Lodge'. The theme: 'Heritage' sets out to provide guests with an experience that reflects New Zealand, West Coast & family history. From the bricks 'Bank House' is built with, recycled from 'The White Swan Hotel' built in the 1800s in Christchurch. to the Gold, Jade and Heritage themed rooms; the Lodge provides character, relaxation and enjoyment.
The Lodge incorporates: 1) 'Bank House', built in 2004 and named after the family home in England, is where full Bed &Breakfast is provided, with three luxurious, spacious rooms all with ensuites.
2) 'Gatehouse Cottage,' just completed in 2007, is self-catering: Breakfast available on request. Provided here are two beautiful bedrooms with a full bathroom; laundry and attached garage. A full kitchen; dining room, lounge and outdoor living makes for a wonderful place to stop for a few days. Dianne, (Literacy Teacher) and Chris, (Property Consultant & Rotarian) both enjoy chatting with guests over a welcoming drink, home-baking or canaps.
Enjoy a bush-setting spa or relax in one of the outside seating areas where you can enjoy the views or peaceful bush surroundings. Broadband Internet, wireless network, and television are available. Dinners can be booked.
