The Sheep Farm Experience is an educational and interactive demonstration, offering you an insight into rural life and sheep farming in New Zealand.



The experience offers the opportunity to pet and and feed our hand-reared sheep. See a demonstration by a professional sheep shearer, followed by hand bottle feeding of pet lambs in which you are invited to participate.

We will explain all about sheep farming and answer any questions you might have. This is your chance to get a real taste of New Zealand farming.

By arrangement for groups we can provide a working sheep dog demonstration.

Food and souvenirs are available from The Shires Rest Cafe.
